The Lord began to speak to Dan this morning, and reminded him of Luke 12:51 " Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the Earth? No, I tell you, but rather division."
And as we began to talk about it, the Lord then led Dan to Luke 2:14, which is the classic scripture that "the world" uses for Christmas to talk about peace on Earth. However when we read it, of course, as usual, the world leaves out the important part at the end of the sentence!

Luke 2:14“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among people WITH WHOM HE IS WELL PLEASED.”
So you see the Lord was showing us that He NEVER came to bring peace to anyone who doesn't belong to Him. He never came to bring peace to "the world", He came to bring peace - ONLY - to men who are obedient and walking by faith in Him.
And, as well, in the time we are in right now, there is no more peace in this world. Because we are now living the scripture...1 Thessalonians 5:3 "For when they (those who choose the world) shall say "Peace and safety", then SUDDEN DESTRUCTION COMES UPON THEM, as travail upon a woman with child, and THEY SHALL NOT ESCAPE."
This is NOT a Merry Christmas guys. We are at the end of the world. This is not a time to "Deck the Halls". This is not a time to "get excited about getting a new video game for Christmas". This is not the time to buy the newest car, or make your long-term plans for retirement. The world is OVER. It's finished. There is no more future for this world. The only hope for the future is in Jesus Christ, and being forever with Him when He comes. Make sure your hearts are right with God...and...
PREPARE YOURSELVES....FOR DESTRUCTION COMES.

SIDE NOTE:
NOW....what's interesting is, when we were looking up these scripture, and when we checked Luke 2:14 in the King James version ("Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, good will toward men") - again...usual...the enemy, through "worldly people" LEFT OUT that last part! Ya know...the part that finishes the ACTUAL meaning of the scripture!? This is why there is absolutely not a single version of the Bible that is not "played with" by man. This however is NO EXCUSE not to read the Bible. All it tells us is that we must have the Holy Spirit while we're reading it, so he can point out the parts that man and the enemy have either added to or taken away in order to deceive. Never allow anyone to tell you not to read the Bible because it's wrong. The enemy is simply doing that because he's trying to get the candle at both ends. So he knows he inspired man to mess with God's word, and then of course he goes back and says "Oh you better not read it because it's messed with". It's ridiculous. So ABSOLUTELY we MUST read and know God's Word, and know that it is the Word of Truth, and it is our foundation. But never read it like a book. Because you'll never get it. You must read it with the Holy Spirit and get the rhema understanding directly from Him in order to have the whole picture.
