There's a MAJOR DECEPTIVE doctrine of demons being spread around the churches of men who thinks that being saved unto salvation is all that is required to be placed in the seat of the overcomer. THE EXPECTED OUTCOME OF THIS DOCTRINE PRODUCES SPIRITUAL BABIES WHO HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CONCEPT, REVELATION OR UNDERSTANDING OF THE CALL TO LAY OURSELVES DOWN, AS TRUE DISCIPLES AND FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST, IN THE WAY OF THE CROSS THROUGH LAID DOWN LIVES. It's not just about discovering our righteousness and identity in Christ through the finished work of His cross. It's about the fruits of righteousness being worked out in us through the correction and discipline of the Father in becoming like Christ. Our identity in Him means that we are called to become like Him. Ephesians 4 17 This I say therefore, and testify in [the] Lord, that you should not walk from now on as other nations walk, in [the] vanity of their mind, 18 having the understanding darkened, being alienated [from] the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart. 19 For they, being past feeling, have given themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and were taught by Him, as [the] truth is in Jesus. 22 For you ought to put off the old man (according to your way of living before) who is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind. 24 And you should put on the new man, who according to God [was] created in righteousness and true holiness. Hebrews 12 5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons, My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked by Him; 6 for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and He scourges every son whom He receives. 7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons, for what son is he whom the father does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastisement, of which all are partakers, then you are bastards and not sons. 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected [us], and we gave [them] reverence. Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For truly they chastened [us] for a few days according to their own pleasure, but He for our profit, that [we] might be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now chastening for the present does not seem to be joyous, but grievous. Nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who are exercised by it.
