A Moment WITH JESUS
5/10/22
What can be more special, family, than those moments we spend alone with our Jesus. This morning, I would like to share my morning with our Savior. I woke up right before dawn, and got my coffee. When I walked out on the back deck, I was greeted by the brightest star right above the mountain. It made me think of: Revelation 22:16
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
I sat in my chair and a gentle breeze swept across me. It felt like a embrace from our Lord saying good morning. I look and see the sun starting to rise. The sky is so beautiful with the light coming up and the clouds getting that pink glow. There is an amber haze on the mountain. I see a young deer run across the field in front of the mountain and I think of the verse of My love comes leaping over the mountain: King James Bible
The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills. Song of Solomon 2:8
All the birds are waking. I see a flock of geese flying right over head and can hear their distinct honking sound, the martins are gliding through the air and going back to their house, the hummingbirds are waking from their night comas to taste the nectar in the feeders, and I hear a dove cooing in the distance. The sky is brighter now with the clouds over the mountain taking on a pearly sheen. I am reminded of the verse: Psalms 113:3
“From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised.”
I think of what a beautiful display of the Glory of God, and it is like a special gift just for me. When I hear the dove, I think of the Holy Spirit. The one I love was at the door, knocking and saying, “My darling, my very own, my flawless dove, open the door for me! My head is drenched with evening dew” Song of Solomon 5:2
My heart is filled with peace and joy. Isaiah 26:3 NKJV You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
Praise you, Jesus, our redeemer, forever. Thank you, Jesus for all things small and great, and thank you Lord for looking down on us.
King James Version
I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. Psalm 11
